Verein Salve Floresta E.V.

Salve Floresta is a nonprofit association founded in Germany in 1990 and 1992 in Brazil.

To achieve the means for financing projects, the association organized concerts, lectures and exhibitions throughout Germany. In total there were more than 70 concerts in universities, churches and community halls, 15 exhibitions in museums for indigenous arts, more than 80 special exhibitions in German schools and high schools.

With the funds raised various projects were supported, i.e. the recollection of medical seeds on the island of Marajo, the museum

of Tikuna, a cooperative of small-scale farmers in Bela Vista High Araguaia river, and the acquisition of an area in the Mata Atlantica, for Salve Floresta Lodge installations.

The path was not easy, but our ambition was even stronger and we never retreated from our objectives. Today we can show our work in the field of environmental education and community work that the Salve Floresta Lodge is practicing. Today the name Salve Floresta enjoys respect and admiration throughout the Vale do Ribeira. We are proud of our work and three major awards in Germany show our dedication on for the Rain forest.
